Emerald Cruises is adding a brand new luxury superyacht, Emerald Sakara, to its fleet, along with a new destination ,The Seychelles, to its itineraries .
Following her maiden voyage through The Seychelles’ Indian Ocean islands early in 2023, Sakara will join sister Emerald Azzurra in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Red and Black Seas, boosting capacity to keep up with strong demand for the brand’s ocean-going itineraries.
Black Sea sailings sold out within two weeks of being released, despite the global pandemic. Sakara’s itineraries went on sale this week (28 September).
Her maiden voyage will be the eight-day Tropical Charms of the Seychelles, exploring Port Victoria (Mahé Island), Sainte-Anne Island, Cousin Island, Praslin Island, Grande-Soeur Island, Curieuse Island, La Digue Island and Aride Island.
“Sakara is a Sanskrit word, meaning ‘thoughts become things’. We feel this idea wonderfully represents Emerald Cruises’ promise of helping our guests to take their dreams of experiencing unique cultures, exotic climates and stunning terrains, and turn them into tangible reality,” said David Winterton, global director of brand & marketing.
