Ambassador Cruise Line has agreed to be the title sponsor of the World Bowls Tour’s top-tier tournaments for the next three years.
Incorporating the Scottish International Open, the UK Open (a new event) and the the World Championships, the agreement follows the successful sponsorship of this year’s 2025 World Championships in January.
Ambassador’s marketing chief Gordon Nardini said: “It’s clear that many within the bowls community share a strong affinity with cruising, and this new agreement offers Ambassador a fantastic opportunity to connect with an audience that values the same sense of camaraderie, community and adventure that lies at the heart of what we do”
Gordon Woods, director of the World Bowls Tour, said Ambassador’s “enthusiasm for the sport as well as their affinity with the audience that we attract make them a perfect fit for us”.
The 17-day World Indoor Bowls Championships will return to Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea in Norfolk in early 2026. It sees the best players from around the globe compete for four separate titles: the Singles, the Pairs, Mixed Pairs and Ladies World Matchplay.
