SeaDream has taken advantage of the pandemic pause in cruising by giving SeaDream II a dramatic multi-million dollar modernisation.

“We believe that luxury yachting lies in the details of the guest experience. That’s why we’ve spent the last year quietly investing in upgrading our staterooms and public spaces,” according to a company statement.

Sister yacht Seadream I is to undergo exactly the same upgrade, with work beginning at the end of March.

The entire project is costing $10m, and the upgrades include

Renovations also provide state-of-the-art technology, enhanced stateroom space and luxurious lounging areas on all decks, including Deck 6, renamed the SeaClub.

“This project entails a total investment of more than $10 million and reflects SeaDream’s continued commitment to our guests’ comfort and optimal convenience,” said company president Andreas Brynestad.

“During these unprecedented times, as the travel industry navigates the COVID-19 pandemic, we have spared no expense in our mission to deliver an elevated guest experience. We believe the time is ripe to put our investment dollars toward the evolution of SeaDream yachting.”
