Second of Celebrity’s stunning Solstice superliners gets the Revolution makeover
Celebrity Equinox was the second in the new 2,850-guest Solstice-class era of Celebrity ships.
The £700m ship, built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, was aimed at experienced cruisers wanting to try a new cruise experience.
Now, following a major transformation as part of the Celebrity Revolution, Celebrity Equinox now features many of the amenities to be found on the ground-breaking Edge-class ships.
These include:
- The Retreat for suite guests, including The Retreat Sundeck, an exclusive sun-soaked hideaway, and The Retreat Lounge (formerly Michaels Club)
- Qsine (formerly Silk Harvest) with the brand-exclusive Le Petit Chef and Friends and the original Le Petit Chef, two amazing dining experiences developed in partnership with TableMation and Skullmapping
- A completely reimagined Passport Bar
- Craft Social (formerly Gastrobar), a casual spot featuring more than 40 craft beers, wine and cocktails on tap
- Refreshed staterooms and suites ship-wide, now all with luxurious king-sized Cashmere mattresses
- The launch of a new partnership with the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, featuring S.T.E.M.-focused activations and unique, first-at-sea programming offered as part of the popular Camp at Sea for young cruisers.
- Digital enhancements across the ship, such as the addition of RFID lock technology and pervasive Xcelerate Wi-Fi
- Facial recognition technology with the implementation of the Celebrity Cruises app, enabling smooth port arrival and expedited boarding, plus additional features including guest-to-guest chat and digital room keys
- New treatments and products at The Spa by Canyon Ranch
