Multi-million pound Edge revolution brings her bang up to date
A multi-million-dollar “revolution” refit in 2020 provided Celebrity Silhouette with some of the new luxury experiences that can be found on Celebrity’s Edge Series.
She arrived in 2011 as the fourth ship in Celebrity’s Solstice-Class fleet, joining widely acclaimed sister ships Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Equinox, which set sail in July 2009, and Celebrity Eclipse, which entered service in April the following year.
The 122,000-ton Celebrity Silhouette set sail featuring a host of industry-first venues and experiences including:
- The Lawn Club, including the interactive Lawn Club Grill, where guests can select and grill their own meats side-by-side with Celebrity Cruises expert chefs, or have them cooked to order
- The relaxing, private, Wi-Fi equipped cabanas called The Alcoves
- The Porch, a casual dining spot offering sandwiches, coffees and views of the sea and the ships lush lawn
- The Art Studio, where holiday-makers can bring out their inner artist
- Another entirely new venue, The Hideaway, an intimate, quiet space reminiscent of a childhood tree house
Now, the major Edge refit has added new luxury experiences including:
- Completely modernised staterooms and suites with additional enhancements designed with guest comfort in mind
- The introduction of The Retreat® for suite guests, an exclusive open-air hideaway featuring a private sundeck and redesigned lounge offering complimentary beverages, gourmet bites, live entertainment, and concierge service, designed by award-winning British designer Kelly Hoppen
- Reimagined restaurants, bars, and lounges where guests can enjoy culinary experiences in captivating environments
- A redesigned spa and casino
- New designer boutiques featuring the hottest designer names
- Digital key access to staterooms
