Ponant’s Explorer ships just keep on coming, with its ice-class vessel, Dumont-d’Urville, joining the fleet in June 2019 – the fourth to arrive in just 12 months.
It belongs to a new generation of ships fitted with innovative equipment and designed to be environmentally friendly, with lounges that are largely open to the exterior, an outdoor swimming pool and a Blue Eye, a multisensorial underwater lounge.
“The substantial expansion of our fleet allows us to offer our guests an increasing number of destinations, exceptional voyages and high-quality services,” said Jean Emmanuel Sauvée, CEO of Ponant.
The 92 staterooms and suites all have balconies or private terraces, sleek and elegant exterior lines and a refined design.
Fine materials, comfortable armchairs and bedding, neutral shades enhanced with touches of bright colour and views out over the sea imbue each cabin with an atmosphere conducive to relaxation and exotic escape.
All ships in the Ponant Explorer fleet feature the latest technology and innovations while respecting the environment.
