Crystal Endeavor, the first dedicated expedition ship in the Crystal fleet, will not be making an appearance until 2021 because of delays in her construction resulting from the Covid pandemic.
It had been hoped Endeavor would set sail on 20 November but the MV Werften shipyard in Germany where she is being built continues to be closed and Crystal is awaiting further information on when it will be fully operational.
“We know that our guests, and the entire Crystal Family, have been looking forward to the introduction of our newest ship and we want to sincerely apologise that travel plans have been impacted by this unprecedented global health pandemic,” Crystal said in a statement.
Guests booked on Crystal Endeavor’s November or December 2020 sailings are being offered credits equal to 125 per cent of their cruise fare paid or deposit paid – valid on any Crystal experience (Ocean, River, Yacht or Expedition) embarking through to e31 December, 2023 – along with a refund of port charges, taxes, and fees, and air and hotel packages booked through Crystal.
