Seven Seas Explorer is back at sea for the first time since the voluntary industry-wide pause in operations.
Guests boarded the ship, which Regent Seven Seas claims to be the most luxurious ever built, in Trieste on Friday last week (15 October) to journey through Italy, Croatia and Greece.
Sailing with the cruise line’s enhanced SailSAFE Health and Safety Programme, which includes 100 per cent vaccination of both guests and crew, Seven Seas Explorer became the second of Regent’s fleet to return to operations.
Seven Seas Splendor has been enjoying a successful inaugural season since 11 September.
“It’s truly amazing to be back on board Seven Seas Explorer,” said Jason Montague, Regent’s president and CEO. “Our crew have done an outstanding job in preparing for the ship’s return, with the service so seamless it is as if we were never away.”
Explorer is cruising the Adriatic and Mediterranean Sea on an 8-night itinerary, after which she will continue to cruise Southern Europe before crossing the Atlantic to Miami for a season in the Caribbean from mid-November until March.
Seven Seas Mariner is set to resume sailing on 18 December and Seven Seas Navigator on 6 January, both from Miami. Seven Seas Voyager will be the final ship to return, on 15 February from Barcelona.
