Viking has revealed that its next two ocean newbuilds will be called Viking Leda and Viking Vega.
The 1,000-passenger ships ships are under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard and are set to join the fleet in late 2028 and mid-2029 respectively
Viking Leda is expected to enter service in December 2028 with a winter schedule in the Mediterranean, while Viking Vega is set to debut in June 2029, also in the Mediterranean before repositioning to the British Isles the following month.
Meanwhile, Viking’s newest ocean ship, Viking Mira, has been officially named during a traditional ceremony in Venice, Italy. She is continuing her inaugural season sailings in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
Viking is also set to take delivery of three ships between 2026 and 2028, including Viking Libra, Viking Astrea and Viking Lyra.
