Two ships ordered, one float out and a keel-laying. All in a day's work for MSC Cruises

There's never a dull moment for MSC Cruises. On the day that MSC World Asia is floated out at the Chantiers de L’Atlantique shipyard in France along with the keel laying coin ceremony for MSC World Atlantic, MSC Cruises announces two new World Class series ships worth €3.5bn, due to be delivered in 2030 and 2031. Pierfrancesco Vago, the line's executive chairman, said: "The World Class platform is a symbol of our vision to set new standards for the future of cruising."

Cruising was badly hit by the COVID pandemic but happily all of that is behind us, with the number of guests boarding ship soaring to record highs. And with so many new ships arriving, competition to fill them means there are many bargains to be found as long as you do your homework.
