Celestyal Cruises has boosted its feet with the purchase of AIDAaura from Carnival Corporation.
The acquisition of the 20-year-old ship is part of the company’s efforts at “fleet refreshment” and will replace Celestyal Olympia, originally Royal Caribbean’s Song of America, which was due to be laid up for the winter.
The Aida cruise ship will be renamed Celestyal Discovery, pictured courtesy of Celstyal Cruises, and following a winter overhaul will enter service in March 2024 operating 3- and 4-day cruises from Piraeus.
Celestyal was formerly Louis Cruises and specialises in Greek island vacations.
