No sooner had the bubbles on the christening of MSC Seashore in The Bahamas gone flat than screen icon Sophia was back in action again, naming her second ship in just EIGHT days.
This time it was MSC Virtuosa getting the star treatment in a glittering ceremony at Port Rashid in Dubai in recognition of MSC’s long-term commitment to the UAE and the wider Middle East market where it is the brand leader.
For the Hollywood superstar, the event may have been spectacular but was quite familiar as it was the 17th time she has performed her duties as MSC’s resident godmother.

The night culminated in a spectacular firework display against the stunning Dubai skyline, before a celebratory gourmet dinner in one of the ships’ elegant restaurants.
MSC Virtuosa can carry up to 6,334 passengers and 1,704 crew and is set to serve the Arabian Sea until March 2022 from her base in Dubai.
