The Caribbean has been revealed as the most popular bucket list destination for four in every ten Britons looking to book their dream cruise.
Cruise ships, such as Allure of the Seas, left, have recently started their phased return to the Caribbean’s tropical islands, and while they are currently out of bounds to UK cruisers, it is clear Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago will welcome us back as as soon as international travel opens up.
The survey, carried out by cruise specialist cruise.co.uk, asked 1,250 aspiring holidaymakers to name their top bucket list destinations and the Caribbean topped the lot on 42 per cent while Alaska came in second with 30 per cent.
Almost as popular was northern Europe, with the Northern Lights proving a major attraction. South America and Australia made up the top five desired destinations.
