Crystal Serenity

Youngest ship of the Crystal Cruises fleet … and full of new ideas

At 68,000 tons and capable of serving 1,080 guests, Crystal Serenity, youngest ship in the Crystal fleet, is also the largest.

However, like her sister ship Crystal Symphony, she still maintains one of the highest space-per-guest ratios at sea, so you’ll never feel crowded.

Featuring many of the same popular public spaces as Symphony, Crystal Serenity also serves up innovation in the form of new dining venues like Tastes, Silk Road and The Sushi Bar, The Studio, and 85 per cent of staterooms have private verandahs.

Renovated in October 2009 at a cost of $25m, and refurbished again in October 2018, Crystal Symphony offers Swarovski Crystal chandeliers, cashmere throws, sunken Philippe Stark Duravit Jacuzzi bathtubs, chic new pool deck furniture, works by famed Venetian artists, service islands with top-of-the-line pizza ovens and woks, and dozens more behind-the-scenes embellishments.

Special features include

  • More space per guest than any ship in its class
  • Complimentary bottled water, soft drinks and specialty coffees
  • Large state-of-the-art Feng Shui spa
  • Aveda products in all staterooms
  • Sushi restaurant with the cuisine of acclaimed chef Nobu Matsuhisa

Accommodation

  • Approximately 85 per cent of its all outside staterooms and suites offer private verandahs
  • On a deck and a half, the new ship offers 100 Penthouse accommodations (56 per cent greater than on Crystal Symphony) with private verandahs
  • Of those, the most lavish accommodations are four 1,345 sq-ft Crystal Penthouses at least 37 per cent larger than those on the existing fleet (and two more than Crystal Symphony)
  • There are almost double the number of Penthouse Suites (32 on the new ship compared to 18 on Crystal Symphony) and 64 Penthouses – a 45 per cent increase

In keeping with Crystal’s successful approach of offering a range of luxury accommodations, there are 368 outside staterooms with verandahs and 82 outside staterooms with large picture windows.

Eight specially designed, wheelchair-accessible accommodations include two Penthouses, two staterooms with verandahs and four staterooms with large picture windows.

PASSENGERS : 1,070

STATEROOMS : 535

CREW : 655

FACILITIES : Three dining rooms (two sittings), alternative dining options, show lounges, casino, cinema, two outside swimming pools (one with magrodrome), fitness centre, children’s facilities, flat screen TV, DVD, Wi-fi access, personal safe
