Navigator of the Seas was launched in December 2002 as the fourth of the new Voyager class of ship and the largest cruise ship in the world at 132,7879 tons.
She was completely revitalised in a $115m refit in January 2019, increasing passenger capacity to 4,000 and size to 139,999 tons .
So that means you can ice-skate, rock climb, play miniature golf, use the in-line skating tracks or simply shop till you drop on the Royal Promenade shopping mall with bars, shops, and restaurants.
When she arrived, Navigator of the Seas also boasted the first-ever wine bar at sea (Vintages), the first Latin jazz bar at sea (Boleros), and the first-ever Ben and Jerrys ice cream parlour at sea.
The ship is particularly well suited for the family cruising market, with a massive 22,000 sq ft area dedicated to its Adventure Ocean Youth Programme,
including teen-only decks.
Navigator of the Seas joined her three sister ships – Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas – as the worlds largest and most innovative cruise vessels at that time.
A revamp in 2014 included the addition of “virtual balconies” for all the inside caboin, and the addition of 81 new staterooms.
