The Crystal River fleet grew by one at the weekend with the arrival of its brand new yacht, Crystal Bach.
The luxury river ship, the first of four “Rhine Class” ships set to sail the rivers of Europe, was delivered to Crystal by MV Werften during the official handover ceremony in Wismar, Germany, last weekend and sets off on her maiden voyage from Amsterdam to Mainz on Sunday.

“It is a thrill to welcome Crystal Bach to the family, as she is one of the most anticipated vessels to embark on Europe’s rivers in years,” said Edie Rodriguez,” Crystal’s CEO and president.
“Her design, abundant space and standard of amenities and luxury are groundbreaking in and of themselves, then, combined with the acclaimed Crystal brand of service and attention to detail, create an unprecedented experience in the river cruising industry.”
Crystal River Cruises was voted “Best River Cruise Line” by the readers of Travel + Leisure in the magazine’s 2017 World’s Best Awards. Sailing itineraries between Amsterdam and Frankfurt, and Amsterdam and Basel, Crystal Bach will travel along the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
Crystal’s “Rhine Class” river ships are the river cruising industry’s first and only all-balcony, all-suite vessels in Europe, with every category of accommodation perched above the waterline.
All four river ships will offer Crystal’s acclaimed butler service in every room category, king-sized beds, Panoramic Balcony-Windows™, walk-in closets and dual vanity in the bathrooms in most categories, ETRO robes and slippers, wall-mounted flat-screen HD TVs, and Nespresso machines. Additional enticing features include Crystal’s farm-to-table, Michelin-inspired cuisine in multiple, open-seating eateries: the elegant Waterside Restaurant, namesake Bistro cafés and the exclusive Vintage Room; and the Palm Court.
