Global music icon Diana Ross will not after all be the godmother of Royal Caribbean’s newest arrival, Star of the Seas.
The Supremes superstar was to take centre stage in the naming ceremony in the ship’s AquaTheater in Port Canaveral on 20 August but has pulled out “because of unforseen circumstances”, according to People magazine.
Ross, 81, completed a series of UK concerts last month and, according to the singer’s website, her US “Beautiful Love Tour” is set to kick tomorrow (16 August) in Saratoga, California.
