Cruisers’ pent-up frustration over the pandemic has resulted in Regent Seven Seas achieving the largest booking day in its 28-year history with the launch of its 2022-23 Voyage Collection.
Reservations on 21 October blew sky high Regent’s previous booking day record, set in April 2018 with the inaugural season launch of Seven Seas Splendor, pictured.
While all destinations experienced high-levels of interest, cruises in Africa, Asia, the Mediterranean and Northern Europe – the Baltics in particular – were notably popular.
The line had surpassed the total number of bookings for the previous year’s Voyage Collection launch by 10:00am EST.
“The staggering response to our 2022-2023 Voyage Collection demonstrates the incredible future demand for the Regent experience,” said Jason Montague, Regent’s president and chief executive officer. “Luxury travellers simply cannot wait to get back on the oceans to see the world again.
“Our loyal guests wasted no time in securing their perfect itinerary and suite with last year’s Voyage Collection launch day total eclipsed after only 90 minutes of being on sale.”
The record bookings day followed hot on the heels of Regent’s recent record-breaking launch day for its 2023 World Cruise where reservations doubled that of the 2022 World Cruise launch.
