Princess Cruises has celebrated its fifth anniversary of operations in Southeast Asia with a sparkling event in Singapore capped by a champagne waterfall.
The event was attended by more than 150 guests including travel agents, Captain’s Circle members and travel partners onboard Sapphire Princess which has arrived in Singapore to commence her homeporting season at Marina Bay Cruise Centre.

Princess Cruises has expanded its operations significantly since its ships started sailing in the region more than 30 years ago.
Guests were treated to a musical performance by the Princess Entertainment Team before dining onboard. Captain Paolo Ravera was on hand to host the champagne waterfall pouring and all guests were served champagne to toast the occasion.
“Our presence in Southeast Asia has a increased awareness of fly-cruise among guests in the region,” said Farriek Tawfik, Princxess Cruises’ Southeast Asia director. “We do see a spike among our guests going on our cruises in Alaska which are increasingly becoming extremely popular as well as to cruises in Australia, Japan, Taiwan and the Mediterranean.”
He added that there was also a sea of change in cruise trends as a new generation, especially the millennials, were discovering the convenience of a cruise holiday.
