Regent Seven Seas Cruises has set a new bookings record for the third year in a row with its 132-night 2024 world cruise selling out in just two-and-a-half hours.
The five-month voyage went on sale at 1.30 pm on 14 July and by 4pm every single berth on Seven Seas Mariner, ranging from £54,949 to £144,669, had been snapped up.
“We knew that the cruise was going to be popular, but this outstanding response has surpassed all expectations and is without doubt our strongest world cruise launch day ever,” said RSSC president Jason Montague.
“Remarkably, we have seen a strong increase in first-time travellers with Regent, many of whom were keen to book the higher end of our suites.”
The Navigate the World cruise will explore Central America, the US West Coast and Hawaii, South Pacific Islands, Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, Middle East, Mediterranean, and Bermuda.
Spanning close to five months and 34,500 nautical miles, the cruise sets sail from Miami, Florida, and will visit 66 ports of call across 31 countries and four continents before returning to Miami.
The ticket price includes a choice of 442 shore excursions and access to 61 UNESCO World Heritage Sites – the most Regent has ever visited on a world cruise – as well as 12 in-port overnight stays and crossings of both the Panama Canal and Suez Canal.
Montague continued: “For our guests, the 2024 World Cruise represents so much more than just a cruise holiday – it’s a return to a normality.”
