Following the completion of an extensive two-week refit in Singapore, the 2,670-guest Sapphire Princess is now heading for the UK to sail out of Southampton this year and in 2019.
The refurbishment was carried out in March, providing the ship with enhanced onboard spaces and product innovations.

Sapphire Princess will sail roundtrip out of Southampton from May to October in 2018 followed by a slightly longer season from April to October in 2019.
A variety of voyages are on offer, largely to the Mediterranean and northern Europe, as well as a 24-day Canada & New England voyage in 2019.
Included in the refit is the introduction of a new luxury bed, which will be added to every stateroom by June. The bed was created exclusively for Princess Cruises and includes fine linens, enhanced mattress support and a king-size deluxe pillow available with feathers or anti-allergy microfibre.
Other onboard enhancements include:
- Upgrades to the spa and treatment rooms
- Updated gym equipment
- New boutique from Effy fine jewellers
- Retail enhancements
- Large-scale LED screen, measuring 15m wide and 4.5m, for use in the theatre
- Princess Cruises’ signature logo on the ship’s bow
Tony Roberts, Princess Cruises’ vice president for UK and Europe, said: “The timing of Sapphire Princess’ refit is perfect for UK guests and we now look forward to welcoming her to our shores both this year and in 2019.
“The additional enhancements mean guests can take advantage of a wealth of upgraded onboard options, from indulging in some retail therapy, to enjoying the spa, to unwinding in a yoga class.”
