The Scottish Government has chartered Ambassador Cruise Line’s ship Ambition to house up to 1,750 Ukrainian refugees.
It will be converted into temporary accommodations and joins the Victoria I, currently docked at Leith and housing about 1,000 refugees.
Ambition, currently on her way to Glasgow and expected to arrive at the beginning of September, was acquired by Ambassador in January having been out of service since the start of the pandemic.
