For the first time, Celebrity Cruises will be sailing from the UK to the Mediterranean in the school summer holidays in 2019.
Following high demand for cruises on board Celebrity Silhouette, newly based out of Southampton from 2018, families will be able to sail from Southampton to destinations including Florence, Provence and Barcelona on three new itineraries.

Says Claire Stirrup, Celebrity’s sales director for UK & Ireland: “Since announcing the news that Celebrity Silhouette will call Southampton home, the response has been phenomenal. It was key for us that we launched a Mediterranean cruise from the UK to fit with the school holiday dates.”
The three new Silhouette itineraries for 2019 are:
- 12-night Iceland & Fjords, departing 7 May, from £1,979 per person in an Oceanview stateroom, calling at the Channel Islands, Cork and Dublin (Ireland), Akureyri and Reykjavik (Iceland), and Lerwick before returning to Southampton.14-night
- Scandinavia & Russia cruise, departing 30 June, from £2,379 per person in an Oceanview stateroom, calling at Bruges, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Visby (Sweden), Tallinn (Estonia), St Petersburg and Berlin before returning to Southampton.14-night
- Western Mediterranean cruise departing Southampton on 28 July, from £2,479 per person in an Oceanview stateroom calling at Vigo , Lisbon , Rome, Florence/Pisa, Marseille, Barcelona and Gibraltar, before returning to Southampton.
