Regent Seven Seas Cruises has signed an agreement with Fincantieri to construct a fourth vessel in its Prestige‑Class series, pictured left, scheduled for delivery in 2036.
It will follow the debut of Seven Seas Prestige in December this year, marking Regent’s first new ship class in 10 years.
The second and third Prestige‑Class ships are scheduled to enter service in 2030 and 2033.
All four 77,000-ton vessels will be built at Fincantieri shipyards in Italy.
Despite Seven Seas Prestige being 40 percent larger than previous Regent ships, it will accommodate 822 guests, an increase of only 10 percent.
Prestige’s inaugural season will feature 13 voyages to iconic destinations across the Caribbean and Europe.
