Celebrity Millennium
After 20 years she is a ship that is still making her mark
Celebrity Millennium was the first in the fleet to be modernised as part of The Celebrity Revolution – a $500m investment to raise every ship to the standard of the new Edge Class ships.
The makeover was carried out in Singapore in 2019 during a a 35-day dry-dock in Singapore and she now boasts brand new staterooms, featuring eXhale bedding and luxurious Cashmere mattresses.
The 2,138 guests can wine and dine in beautifully reimagined restaurants and lounges, including the Main Dining Room, Oceanview Café, Sunset Bar, and Rendezvous Lounge. And you can discover the true meaning of tranquility in the newly redesigned spa, and indulge in new retail boutiques.
Celebrity had put an indelible mark on the year 2000 by launching the 91,000-ton Millennium whose name befit the turn of the century.
The line chose the name Millennium for its first of four Millennium-class ships and she made her maiden voyage on 17 June, 2000, out of Amsterdam.
In May 2009, Millennium emerged from a $10m dry-dock refurbishment in Victoria (British Columbia), but to keep her bang up date, she entered dry-dock again in April 2012 for some of the most popular venues on the lines widely heralded Solstice Class ships to be added.
Now the oldest ship in the fleet has raised her game to reflect the game-changing features of Celebrity Edge and sister Celebrity Apex.
The vessels have a powerful, lean and chiseled profile, exhibiting a new interpretation of Celebritys signature stack design and hull striping.
