Ovation of the Seas

The first world-class ship to make China its homeport

Royal Caribbean officially took delivery of Ovation of the Seas, in a ceremony held in Bremerhaven, Germany, in April, 2016, boasting many never-seen-before features and experiences.

Ovation and her sister ships, Quantum of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas, belong to the Quantum class of ships and were built with the most advanced technology of its time.

Designed and built to deliver amazing vacation experiences for guests of all ages, Ovation of the Seas became the first world-class ship to make China its homeport when she began her first homeport sailing season from Tianjin two months later.

She currently mainly sails from Seattle during the northern summer season and re-positions to Sydney during the southern summer season.

As one of the largest cruise ships ever built, accommodating 4,180 guests at double occupancy and 1,500 international crew members, it boasts an array of stunning features and experiences many of them never before been seen at sea.

She features first-at-sea amenities including

  • The North Star, an observation capsule that gently rises more than 300ft in the air to treat guests to breathtaking panoramic views
  • Thrilling skydiving and surfing experiences
  • Two70, a daily social space which transforms into a multifunctional entertainment place in the evening
  • SeaPlex, the largest indoor activity space at sea, which includes basketball, roller-skating, bumper cars, and more

Ovation offers 18 restaurants onboard with a variety of cuisines to choose from as well as relaxing and luxurious accommodations with the unique Loft Suites and groundbreaking Virtual Balcony staterooms, interior accommodations that feature large digital screens displaying real-time views, ensuring that every room has a view.
