New ship Rotterdam spearheads Holland America’s wide-ranging 2021-2022 Caribbean season

Rotterdam

Holland America Line’s 2021-2022 season, scheduled to kick off in October pandemic permitting, offers a range of seven to 21-day cruises featuring six premium, mid-sized ships including, for the first time, Rotterdam, pictured left, in her debut season in the Caribbean.

Between October 2021 and April 2022, cruises ranging from three to 14 days itineraries will head for the eastern, western and southern regions of the Caribbean, all sailing roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Rotterdam begins her Caribbean season with three- and four-day samplers. The four-day cruise departs 3 November and calls at Half Moon Cay and Key West Florida, and the three-day departs 7 November and calls at Half Moon Cay. She will then sail a series of cruises that include tropical, western, eastern and southern itineraries ranging from six to 11 days.

In addition to Rotterdam, guests can choose a Caribbean cruise on Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Volendam and one holiday sailing on Zaandam.

Holland America Half Moon Cay

All of Holland America’s Caribbean  itineraries include a call at its Half Moon Cay private Bahamian island

All itineraries include a call at Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line’s private Bahamian island. This quintessential and quaint sanctuary has evolved into a playground for cruise guests and features some of the finest beaches in the Caribbean and a natural 700-acre lagoon.

Many of the cruises can be extended into Collectors’ Voyages ranging from 13 to 21 days These longer journeys combine non-repeating, back-to-back itineraries, allowing guests to span more than one Caribbean region.

Book by 28 February to take advantage of a “View & Verandah” offer that includes stateroom upgrades, free beverages, one-night specialty dining and 10 per cent off shore excursions.
