Royal Caribbean International is set to resume cruising to the Caribbean island of St Thomas that was badly hit by hurricanes Irma and Maria last month.
On 10 November, Adventure of the Seas will make return to St Thomas for the first time since early September.

In partnership with the government of the US Virgin Islands, Royal Caribbean also has committed to undertaking the complete restoration of Magens Bay, one of St Thomas’s most popular tourist attractions and regarded as among the finest beaches in the world.
Plans are being drawn up for a grand re-opening of the pristine destination during Adventure of the Seas’ visit.
“We are very excited to get back home to our friends in St Thomas,” said Michael Bayley, President and CEOof Royal Caribbean International.
“The Caribbean is our family, having cruised there for nearly 50 years, and the long-standing relationships created in all this time are unwavering. We are committed to doing everything we can to help and proud to support the restoration of the iconic Magens Bay.”
In addition to returning to St Thomas, Royal Caribbean has committed to returning to San Juan, Puerto Rico and St Maarten by the end of November and is working closely with local governments to announce the exact dates.
By 1 December, all scheduled calls to the three islands will operate as normal.
