New ships and unique ports of call from Ponant in Med and Northern Europe in 2019

Ponant’s Mediterranean and Northern Europe programme for summer 2019 offers the chance to discover or rediscover a unique heritage on its stylish fleet, which includes the latest additions to its Explorer series, Le Bougainville and Le Dumont-d’Urville.

From the Adriatic to the Aegean Sea, and the Atlantic coast to the Baltic Sea, Europe represents a unique travel experience, and 46 cruises to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe include five new itineraries and unique ports of call such as Gytheio, Syracuse and Brindisi.

Both Le Bougainville and Le Dumont-d’Urville will feature Blue Eye, a multi-sensory underwater lounge offering guests a new experience of the subaquatic world

For culture or relaxation, landmarks or exceptional natural sites, Ponant offers itineraries for discovering little-known destinations that are inaccessible to larger ships, as well as the most beautiful sailing spots in the Mediterranean: the Bay of Kotor, the Corinth Canal, Bonifacio and its white cliffs, or Stromboli.

Combining the charms of music and the sea, punctuated daily by concerts and talks, four cruises run in partnership with Radio Classique will enable guests to meet some of the most prestigious concert musicians and performers, in the presence of Alain Duault.
Jazz violinist Didier Lockwood and singer-songwriter Robert Charlebois will also be special guests on two cruises to the Adriatic.

The season shines the spotlight on the smaller, 92-stateroom Le Bougainville and Le Dumont-d’Urville. Equipped with a removable marina platform enabling guests to swim directly from the ship, as well as a submersible mini-port providing easy access to kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing and more.

These new ships, arriving in 2019, also boast a multi-sensory underwater lounge called Blue Eye, offering guests a new experience of the subaquatic world.
