Royal Caribbean Internationals Allure of the Seas is not only the world’s most revolutionary cruise ship, but steals the title as the world’s largest cruise ship by just 50mm from sister-ship Oasis of the Seas.
Longer than 40 London Routemaster buses, Allure of the Seas is a whopping 1,187ft long.
An architectural marvel at sea, it spans 16 decks, weighs in at 225,282 gross registered tons, carries 6,200 guests at double occupancy, and features 2,700 staterooms.
With a cache of distinct new onboard activities and amenities, Allure of the Seas offers one-of-a-kind entertainment performances, culinary concepts, retail venues and technology innovations.
It showcases Royal Caribbean Internationals exclusive neighbourhood concept of seven distinct themed areas, including Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone, featuring
- 21 swimming pools and whirlpools onboard
- More than 20 different cafes and restaurants from Starbucks to steak houses
- 17 bars and lounges including the Rising Tide Bar which moves guests up and down between three decks
- 25 different shops including designer handbag stores and even a shop for pet souvenirs
- Many different sports facilities such as those for surfing, water polo, scuba diving, rock climbing, ice skating and kick boxing
The ship alternates a Western Caribbean with an Eastern Caribbean seven-night itinerary from her home port of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale (Florida).
