MSC Orchestra
The ship that struck a new chord
As is the MSC tradition, screen goddess Sophia Loren starred as the official godmother of MSC Orchestra at its christening in the Italian port of Civitavecchia in May 2007.
And to reaffirm MSC Cruises commitment to all things truly Italian, at the christening she was joined for the first time by another Italian icon, composer Ennio Morricone, who not only conducted a concert prior to the christening but his music then accompanied a spectacular firework display.
Like all MSC Cruises, a cruise aboard MSC Orchestra can be pretty much what you want it to be. If a quiet life is your goal then youll have no trouble achieving them. Alternatively if you want to fit then hit the jogging track, the Sports Centre and the Body and Mind Spa. Or perhaps a Turkish bath, sauna or a programme of massage would be preferable.
MSC Orchestra can also take you on a culinary adventure. Theres the Shanghai Chinese restaurant or the Four Seasons for an a la carte experience, or a meal in the LIbiscus and Villa Borghese restaurants is an occasion in itself.
Children are welcome and have their own outdoor pool and games area as well as the Jungle Adventure playroom. And a dedicated team make sure the kids always have something fun to do.
