Royal Princess
The first of a new generation of Princess ships
The 3,600-passenger Royal Princess, named by the Duchess of Cambridge in Southampton on 13 June 2013, is the first of two new-generation ships for Princess built by Fincantieri at their Monfalcone shipyard in Italy.
Some new features found aboard are
- An over-water SeaWalk with views 128ft straight down
- A top-deck glass-bottomed enclosed walkway on the ships starboard side extending more than 28ft beyond the edge of the vessel
- A similarly-unique cantilevered SeaView bar, featuring cocktails with unbeatable vistas
- An even larger and expanded atrium with additional entertainment and casual dining options
- Princesss largest top deck pool ever with a water and light show
- Balconies on all outside staterooms
Also on her top decks, Royal Princess features a new adults-only pool surrounded by seven plush private cabanas that appear to be floating on the water, two additional pools, a dazzling water and light show, an expanded version of Princesss signature adults-only haven, The Sanctuary, and the popular poolside theater, Movies Under the Stars.
