River cruising that will leave you lost for words …

Riviera Travel’s European fleet of 14 “boutique hotel” vessels are all named after authors and, according to the Berlitz guide, they will leave you lost for words.

2019 saw the arrival of brand-new MS George Eliot and MS William Wordsworth, followed the following year by MS Geoffrey Chaucer.

From the Douro to the Danube and Rhine to the Rhône, Riviera Travel offers guests the chance to relax and recharge as their luxurious river cruisers glide along Europe’s most incredible waterways.

Whether you are a lover of history, culture or architecture, you can get to know what makes each stop special with a carefully planned excursion each day, led by our local experts.

A river cruise on one of Riviera Travel’s five-star ships is like staying in a floating, luxury boutique hotel. Primarily Swiss-built and operated, they are rated rated by the Berlitz as some of the finest river cruise ships to grace Europe’s waterways.

Many of the ships hold from approximately 170 to 190 passengers, and suites and cabins are among the largest on any river cruise vessel and as large majority of them feature a French or full balcony.

Riviera also  cruises further afield on the Mekong, Yangtsze and Nile.
