Scenic offers all-inclusive luxury cruising on the rivers of Europe, as well as the Mekong and Irrawaddy in Southeast Asia.

Its state-of-the-art Space-Ships offer 5-star luxury across everything – from your luggage unpacked by your personal butler, to gourmet meals across a range of on board dining venues.

Scenic began operating European cruises  in 2008 with the launch of its first river cruise ship, Scenic Sapphire. This was followed shortly by the Scenic Emerald, with the Scenic Diamond and Scenic Ruby arriving in 2009.

In 2014, Scenic added a further two ships to its fleet. The 169-passenger Scenic Jade began offering cruises on the River Danube, and the 126-passenger Scenic Gem on the River Seine.

A further four new ships entered service in 2016. Scenic Azure was custom-built to cruise the waters of the River Douro in Portugal; Scenic Amber launched on Europe’s main rivers; and the Scenic Aura and Scenic Spirit began cruising the Irrawaddy and Mekong rivers in South East Asia.

Scenic now operates 15 river cruise ships, and in 2019 it began a redesign programme for 10 of them – Scenic Diamond, Scenic Sapphire, Scenic Ruby, Scenic Peal, Scenic Jasper, Scenic Opal, Scenic Amber, Scenic Crystal, Scenic Jade and Scenic Jewel.

Every aspect of design has been considered at length to guarantee comfort and safety, from the spacious suites to the innovative wellness area.

The dining venues and lounges offer a unique culinary experience. A light, al fresco snack can be taken on the Riverview Terrace, tea or coffee in the relaxed Panorama Lounge, or perhaps savour a gourmet odyssey at Table La Rive (Table D’or in Portugal).

Teams of expert Journey Designers are tasked with sourcing stimulating cultural events on every cruise itinerary, helping to elevate the experience.

And every Scenic river cruise is complemented by a collection of all-inclusive activity programmes, including Freechoice and Enrich.

These special excursions provide unprecedented access to once-in-a-lifetime events, such as classical music performances in historic European palaces to unforgettable sight-seeing adventures in the Mekong Delta.
