Cruise ship AIDAnova

A big kiss and no clothes … that’s life on laid-back AIDA Cruises

AIDA’s lively, casual cruises attract a younger audience and families but be sure to brush up on your German as that’s just about all you will hear on board the ships of this Rostock-based line.

The huge kiss mouth on the bow of the ship makes you quickly realise that fun is on the way, and sure enough here’s plenty to keep you entertained from morning to late in the night … and you don’t have to dress up either.

In fact sometimes you dont have to wear clothes at all  … there’s a naturist sunbathing area on one of the secluded decks, and the spas are German/Scandinavian style which means you don’t need to cover up your bits and pieces.

Aida’s current fleet of 14 ships, spearheaded by the new LNG-powered AIDAnova that arrived in December 2018, cruise to the most beautiful destinations in the world, and by 2023 the number will increase to 16.

The line offers an active, ultracasual cruise experience so you can expect the passenger list to have a youthful look about it, with plenty of families visible during the school holidays.

Don’t both to pack dinner suits and frocks as the dress code is relaxed. The only no-go area is shorts in the restaurants. There is no evening dress code other than a request for no shorts in the restaurants.
