Oceania Cruises

A refined and elegant country club at sea

Formed in 2002 by luxury cruise industry veterans Joe Watters and Frank Del Rio, Oceania Cruises offers vacations on which every whim is graciously indulged.

Fine cuisine, award-winning itineraries and outstanding value define Oceania’s highly-rated product and have positioned the company to entice travellers seeking a refined and casually elegant travel experience.

Service is highly personalised throughout every ship in the fleet. All of the suites and many staterooms feature private teak verandas and the exclusive Tranquility beds.

Vista was Oceania’s first newbuild when she joined the fleet in 2023

Yet, despite this level of sophistication, the ambiance remains wonderfully casual, like that of a country club.

In August 2018, Oceania announced a dramatic $100m re-inspiration process aimed at delivering four “better than new” ships.

The project, called OceaniaNEXT, reimagined Regatta, Insignia, Nautica and Sirena, Marina and Riviera, and while their exteriors remained the same, every inch of décor and furnishings on the inside was refreshed.

And a major leap came with the introduction of its first Allura class newbuild, Vista, in 2023, with a second of the class, Allura, arriving in 2025.

Oceania Cruises sails to more than 180 ports in Europe, China and the Far East, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Central and North America and the Caribbean.

PASSENGER VERDICT

Have cruised many times, mainly on Seabourn, Regent and Silversea, but have to say the standard and choice of food on this 5 Star Ship (Riviera) was some of the best we have had at sea.
